Krista Kent, LPC

I have worked in the mental health field for over 8 years, and I love the work I do. I recognize that helping others heal is my true calling. My goal is to help you reach your full potential and become the best version of yourself through the development and strengthening of internal resources to more effectively cope with life stressors and traumas of the human experience. I take a person-centered, humanistic approach tailoring my methods to meet your individual needs. I offer a safe and nonjudgmental environment for my clients to help ease them into the uncomfortable, and sometimes difficult, process of healing.

I am a licensed professional counselor in the state of Colorado (license #15896). I received my Master’s Degree in Marriage, Couples, and Family Counseling from Walden University in 2014. After graduating I began my career in an addictions treatment facility. I have extensive experience working with at-risk youth and their families. I also spent several years in the foster care system working with youth in placement. Since beginning my journey with RWM&B in 2020, I have increasingly become more dedicated to working with depression, anxiety, childhood wounding, and relationship trauma symptoms in adult women. I have extensive experience in trauma work and recognize that safety within the therapeutic relationship is essential to healing. I pride myself on building a strong therapeutic bond to create that trust, safety, and security. I utilize an eclectic variety of therapeutic methods to address each client’s needs individually, as everyone has their own individual responses and needs, and those deserve to be honored. My work is person-centered, strengths based, holistic and spiritual to help you discover and become the Highest version of yourself.

Rumi said that, “The wound is the place where the light enters you.” When we allow ourselves to break open, we open ourselves to peace, wholeness, and genuine healing. You are not at fault for the bad things that happened to you, but you are responsible for your own healing. And you are worthy of that.
