Jill Farley LPCC
Hello and welcome!
My name is Jill Farley (she/her), and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate (LPCC). I understand that counseling can be a scary process, especially for those that are new to the world of counseling. In my work with clients, I prioritize safety within the therapeutic relationship & meeting my clients where they are at. I utilize a person-centered approach with an attachment lens & parts work.
In my sessions I look at the forming experiences that trained you to be who you are today. In making sense of our past, we can step into the future with more confidence of where we are going. Stress is an inevitable part of life; however I believe that achieving a balanced life where stress does not rule our world is possible. Through learning about the role, the mind and body have on our overall health, I hope to empower my clients to better understand themselves and minimize the stress or fear one may feel in beginning counseling. Other values of mine I bring to the therapeutic process are respect, humor, diversity, and growth.
I work with individuals of all ages, gender identities, & am an LGBTQ+ allied provider. I am passionate about working with trauma and educating my clients on the connection between the brain and the body. I prioritize feeling safe in my counseling sessions and aim to take a holistic approach in your care. I have a passion for working with clients of all ages and backgrounds that may be struggling with anxiety, life transitions, depression, career decisions, social anxiety, spirituality, sexuality, self-esteem/ confidence.
More about me!
I came to the field of mental health because of my passion for learning about psychology and finding ways to apply that knowledge to help others. It was in my own experiences with counseling that my dream of working with others was instilled. When I am not working with clients I enjoy hiking, trying new recipes, and exploring the city. Getting outdoors to connect with nature is my favorite form of self-care. Also, I love expressing myself through creative outlets and spending much of my free time painting or trying a new craft!
