Chantae Thomas MS, LPCC LAC-C
Raised in Colorado, Chantae has always felt at home in the outdoors, finding joy in exploring the state’s trails, lakes, and hidden gems. She earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Colorado – Denver and her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Capella University. She hopes to begin pursuing her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology in the next few months, furthering her lifelong commitment to education and growth.
Chantae is a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate (LPCC) and Licensed Addictions Counselor Candidate (LAC-C) with over 20 years of experience supporting youth, families, and communities. As the Founder and Executive Director of a nonprofit organization, she leads a team dedicated to trauma-informed, culturally responsive care, blending clinical expertise with experiential and adventure-based practices. She draws from a Gestalt framework, an Internal Family Systems (IFS) model, and experiential practices, often integrating nature, movement, and creative exploration into the healing process. Her work is rooted in helping young people discover their voice, build resilience, and connect with their passions.
In addition to her nonprofit leadership, Chantae owns Tehmple Consulting, where she guides emerging and established nonprofits in building sustainable, impactful organizations. She brings the same values to her consulting work that she holds in her therapy practice—collaboration, authenticity, and empowerment.
Outside of work, Chantae cherishes time with her two sons, whether cheering from the sidelines of a lacrosse game, kayaking in Colorado’s lakes, or exploring new adventures together, finding moments that ground and remind her daily of the joy and beauty in connection. She also enjoys reading, theatre, coaching lacrosse, and sharing laughter with friends and family.
