Angie Marks MA, LPC, LAC
Hello there! I am so happy you are looking for hope and healing. I have had the opportunity to walk alongside many who sought for a healthier and rewarding focus in life. To support others, I am both a licensed professional counselor (LPC) and licensed addiction counselor (LAC). My commitment to serving families has spanned over 24 years and within various agencies performing mental health services; outpatient, inpatient, residential, and community-based settings for teens, young adults, and their families. I’m accustomed to working within a holistic approach viewing healing as pursued from a mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual perspective. I support families through incorporating empathy, sensitivity, and ethical professionalism. I am committed to empowering clients to seek hope and healing through a variety of interventions specifically tailored to their needs and focused on relief and renewed energy.
My passion is working with individuals and families who are impacted by mental health illness, trauma, behavioral concerns, and substance use. My experience lies within individual, family, and group therapy. And I have treated the following: Anxiety/Depression Management, Life Transitions, Relationship issues, Trauma and Abuse Recovery, Grief and Loss, Anger Management, Healthy Sexuality, Spiritual Confusion, and Addiction & Dependence.
How I help:
I provide a safe and non-judgmental environment where my focus is on personal empowerment, as I believe this is paramount to the process of exploration and motivation to change. I enjoy partnering to determine a client-centered treatment plan that will address personal goals and plan for future. My skills-based approach will amplify work toward determination of root cause, illicit immediate change and facilitate hope.
More about me:
When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, writing poetry, making play lists, reading novels, and building a gallery of photos.
