I have worked in the mental health/social work field for over six years, and I love the work I do. I recognize that helping others heal is my true calling. My goal is to help you reach your full potential while overcoming any of life’s struggles and traumas. I take a person-centered, humanistic approach tailoring my methods to meet your individual needs. I offer a safe and nonjudgmental environment for my clients to help ease them into the difficult process of healing.
I am a licensed professional counselor in the state of Colorado (license #15896). I received my Master’s Degree in Marriage, Couples, and Family Counseling from Walden University in 2014. After graduating I began my career in an addictions treatment facility on the adolescent unit. I have extensive experience working with at-risk youth and their families participating in individual and family therapy. I also spent several years in the foster care system working with youth in placement. I have extensive experience in trauma work and recognize that the therapeutic relationship is essential to healing. I pride myself on building a strong therapeutic bond to create trust and security. I utilize an eclectic variety of therapeutic methods to address each client’s needs individually, as everyone has their own individual responses and needs when faced with difficult life challenges. My work is person-centered and strengths based to help you discover the best possible version of yourself.
Rumi said that, “The wound is the place where the light enters you.” When we allow ourselves to break open, we invite love, peace, and acceptance into ourselves. You are not at fault for the traumas you have had to experience, but you are responsible for your own healing. I look forward to continuing to assist others through their healing journey.
