Anais Rincon, LPCC
Hi, my name is Anais. I am a Clinical Mental Health Counselor Intern. I am a Hispanic therapist with knowledge and awareness about how culture, beliefs, and religion/spirituality impact each person differently. I understand how many of you feel isolated, outsiders, or in between cultures due to being part of an ethnic minority group, immigrant, or part of a multiracial family. I am bilingual (Spanish/English) and can work with you in your preferred language or both in our sessions.
I believe that therapy is not only for those struggling with mental disorders but for those who are looking to have a better version of themselves. Working in collaboration, you can learn skills and practice evidence-based interventions to boost your self-confidence and communication skills, repair or build new relationships, improve anxiety and depression, adjust to a challenging situation, and face or overcome insecurities to enhance your quality of life.
I often use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) interventions in my sessions because I believe that we can decide how we want to feel about our reality. A negative thought process influences many mental issues, low self-esteem, and insecurities.
How I help
I use a directive model of therapy and work in collaboration with my clients to identify meaningful therapy goals and develop a treatment plan to reach them. I offer a non-judgmental, empathetic, and safe environment to talk. I use an integrative approach to counseling that includes Solution-Focused, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Reality Therapy, Mindfulness, and strength-based approaches to help you manage symptoms, improve or recover from mental issues, and create resilience to face challenges.
More about me
When I am not working, I love to spend time with friends, taking my dog Luna and Victoria, my daughter, to parks, going to the mountains, or spending time at home watching a movie or playing board games with my family. I am a dog lover and understand how much many of you love and care for your pets.
