Lynae Jones MS LPCC

Hello, my name is Lynae. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate (LPCC) with a deep passion for supporting individuals and families through life’s most transformative and challenging seasons. I hold a Master of Science (2006) and a Master of Arts (2012) from Canisius College in Buffalo, New York. I am a BIPOC (black, indigenous person of color) provider who deeply understands how culture plays a vital role in our belief systems, values and identities. Patterns with outcomes of my clients have demonstrated therapy is a tool to help facilitate changes within themselves by reframing their perspectives and thoughts patterns and learning healthy coping skills in order to lead a healthy and meaningful quality of life.

While I have specialized training in perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, my experience extends to working with clients across the lifespan facing a wide range of concerns — including anxiety, depression, anger, interpersonal conflicts, grief and loss, borderline personality disorder, bipolar disorders, trauma histories, neurodivergence, negative perception of self, dual diagnoses involving both mental health and substance misuse, gender-affirming care for transgender clients and those dealing with life stressors.

My dedication to this work is deeply personal. Having faced my own struggles during my prenatal and perinatal journey, I’m aware firsthand how isolating and overwhelming those experiences can feel. That understanding fuels my commitment to providing a compassionate, judgment-free space where clients feel seen, supported, and empowered to heal and grow.

When providing individual, group and family therapy, I draw from a variety of evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) interventions, Mindfulness techniques, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), grief and loss counseling, Attachment Theory, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and Interpersonal Psychotherapy. I strive to tailor my approach to each person’s unique needs, helping them build resilience, self-awareness, and lasting emotional well-being.

While I am a Buffalo, New York native, born and raised in the “City of Good Neighbors…Go BILLS!”, I enjoy the outdoors here in Colorado engaged in my own grounding rituals in my free time by feeling the warm Colorado sun pierce my soul and the winter snow sink beneath my feet. When I’m not working with my clients, I often enjoy spending time with tween son and husband enjoying life’s treasures!

Are you ready to transform your life alongside me as we walk through this journey together collaboratively?
